PRESENTATION SKILLS COACHING

“I worked with Leila when I’d suffered a dip in confidence with presenting. Presenting had historically been something I would say was a natural strength of mine but three years out with covid and working from home can do wonders to knock your confidence! I realised that Leila’s role here was to reignite my belief in my presenting ability. She did this in spectacular fashion and at the same time was able to provide some helpful tips on ensuring my presenting style went from good to great”.

“I’m terrible at public speaking” is something I hear a lot.

This limiting belief can stand in the way of great opportunities and prevent people from fulfilling their potential.

The truth is, though most of us fear it, we are all capable of public speaking. Some people simply require a bit more guidance, good tips and some extra dollops of self belief.

My experience and training in theatre, stand-up comedy and latterly presenting, pitching and public speaking, alongside my coaching skills, will provide you with all the support and guidance you need to feel more confident standing up in front of an audience.

I coach on a 1:1 basis and also run workshops for up to 10 people. You can read more about this below…

Presentation Skills Workshops

I run Presentation Skills workshops for groups of up to10 people. The workshops provide people with helpful tools, an opportunity to practice new skills and refine their presentation style.

Depending on your requirements, the workshops can cover some or all of the following:

Confidence building - overcoming any limiting beliefs

Knowing your audience - what do you know about the people you are presenting to? Why is it important?

The art of good storytelling - how to apply this to our presentations

How to bring stories to life - exploring different formats and techniques to captivate your audience and hold their interest

How to structure presentations - what is the beginning, middle and end? The importance of flow, and leaving breadcrumbs for your audience to keep them engaged

Tools and frameworks - guiding people beyond the workshops

Refining your authentic presentation style - bringing out the best in you and encouraging you to be your authentic self in the language you use

Delivery - how to engage an audience using pitch and pace, and the importance of body language

Practice, practice, practice - building confidence through doing and receiving feedback in both 1:1 and group sessions

There isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach, therefore, a key part of the process is discussing the specific needs of your business and working with you to create workshops that are going to get the right results for you and the team.

“According to most studies, people’s number one fear is public speaking. Number two is death. Death is number two. Does that sound right? This means to the average person, if you go to a funeral, you’re better off in the casket than delivering the eulogy”
